Platinum Medi LLP (India) & The Platinum World LLC (USA) are fully owned verticals of Smile Labs Cosmetic Pvt Ltd, a company primarily owned by India origin promoters; set up specifically to deal with import & distribution of PPE goods and Class 1 & 2 Medical devices.
During the pandemic in 2021, for a period of a few months there was a burning need of oxygen concentrators in India and we as a company, along with our reliable associates in China & Malaysia focused on getting these products to India; into the hands of the people who needed it the most.
We also initiated the ‘Breathe Easy India’ Campaign which aimed at filling orders mainly for helpless Non-Resident Indians for their families back home and some NGOs in India. The prices were capped & controlled end to end to eliminate any kind of unreasonable profiteering which many individuals & companies resorted to doing, during that entire period. Our prices included doorstep delivery within72 hours of placing an order thereby making it the simplest & convenient option for those in dire need. For last mile doorstep deliveries, we tied up with leading courier companies in India like DTDC, Shree Maruti Courier and Delhivery.com in India; successfully delivering over 700 machines in the first month of starting this campaign.
Our notional profits along with funds raised vide crowd funding exercises and through NRIs wanting to support, were also ploughed back into reducing the costs of these machines and supporting organizations that needed it the most.
To this date we are a conduit, supplying concentrators to NGOs and rural charitable organization’s including small hospitals and healthcare facilities for any future shortages that may occur. As a company we supplied over 15000 concentrators to various government & non govt bodies in India, an achievement we are very proud off!
We remain committed to this cause and would happily participate in such initiatives in the future; if and whenever the need arises.
